1. Overview

The GQB type is a high-flow low-lift axial pump for horizontal installation. In comparison to the conventional vertical axial and vertical submersible pump has a number of advantages including: lower excavation depth and less installation cost, less hydraulic head loss of due to favourable stream flow, improved working conditions and good cavitation performance. Symmetrical mounting structure can be installed to achieve the overall U-turn and two-way pumping. GQB type submersible pump is especially suitable for low head, high flow situations, and can be used for flood water pumping, agricultural irrigation pumping stations and drainage pumping stations and so on.

The GSB type pump is an improved version of GQB, which can pump in two directions. By simply switching the motor rotation direction, forward and reverse pumping can be achieved without the need to move and reorientate the pump.

2. Application

Urban Flood Control and Drainage:Applicable to urban rainwater pumping stations, flood control pumping stations, and waterlogging control projects. For instance, it serves as the core drainage equipment in integrated pump-sluice projects to enhance flood - discharge efficiency.

 Agricultural Irrigation and Drainage:Used in farmland drainage and irrigation pumping stations to meet high-volume drainage requirements.

 River Regulation and Water Diversion:Plays a dual-function role in river water diversion scheduling and inland water environment management, optimizing water resource utilization.

3. Characteristics

 Lifting height of a small pumping station height is lowfoundation excavation depth is low, effectively reduce the geotechnical and construction investment;

  • What precautions should be taken before starting a tubular pump?

    • Inspect the pipeline sealing integrity and guarantee that the inlet valve is fully open (to avoid pressure accumulation). When starting the pump for the first time, fill the pump with water to prevent dry - running damage to the mechanical seal.
  • How to select a bidirectional tubular pump?

    • It is required to define the forward and reverse flow requirements and the intersection point of the head-capacity curves. Also, verify whether the motor power can meet the bidirectional peak loads.
